Warm Water Walleye 

Balmier, shallow waters draw in baitfish for a snack

Although walleyes are known as a “cold water” fish, in the spring it seems that they can’t get warm fast enough! When the water temperature is less than 60 degrees, begin your search for walleyes in shallow areas of the lake. Typically, anywhere that has less than 5 feet of water is the first place where vegetation begins to grow, which draws in baitfish, which will be followed by the walleyes.  Continue Reading →
